Coach Ashley K.

Ashley has had a passion for gymnastics and dance her whole life. She started in dance and gymnastics at the age of two, and continued on to do gymnastics for 22 years. Throughout high school she competed for the USA National Team and earned an athletic scholarship to Arizona State University. She competed 4 years for ASU and was Captain her senior year.  She received a number of awards for her gymnastics, academic, and leadership accomplishments. She earned the Pac-10 Medal of Honor, was a 5 time All American, 2 time Pac-12 Balance Beam Champion, 2004 NCAA Balance Beam National Championship, and broke the Arizona State school record of 22 All-Around titles in her college career. Her 5th year she was an undergrad assistant coach for the gymnastics team, where she organized and pioneered the first Breast Cancer Awareness gymnastics meet which is still a continuing tradition at ASU.

She graduated in 2007 earning Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Degree, with concentrations in Nutrition and Kinesiology. She is currently the Studio Manager of Fitness Together Silver Spring where she enjoys personal training coupled with helping people make healthy lifestyle changes.

Now that she has retired from the sport of gymnastics she has turned her focus to dance and cheer with the All Pro All Stars; something she has always wanted to do but did not have the time while in gymnastics. She was on the Washington Capitals dance team, the Red Rockers. Where she was a Captain for 3 seasons and was also an NFL cheerleader for the Baltimore Ravens last season. With what free time she has left she spends it doing something active: working out, running, snowboarding, wake boarding, hiking, dancing or she is relaxing working on her scrapbooks, spending time with family, friends or playing with her dog, Maserati!
